Athlete of the Week: Mark Power

He Powered His Way Past Kelly’s

Softball player Mark Power is The Telegram Sports Department’s Choice as Athlete of the Week.

Power was almost unhittable Tuesday night in Molson St. John’s Senior Men’s Softball, twirling a one-hitter and fanning 14 as The Bigs shutout Kelly’s Pub Junior Canadians 4-0 at Lions Park.

Power retired the side in order in the second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh Innings. He struck out the side in the fourth, fifth and sixth.

Power helped his own cause with two hits, including a solo home run.
