URGENT MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT METRO UMPIRES

To all current players, coaches & umpires and all former players, coaches & umpires.

With the passing of two of our beloved umpires, and work changes and responsibilities for others, we are faced with a big shortfall with respect to the number of people available to cover the three leagues that we have been covering: Senior Men's, Intermediate Men's & Senior Ladies.

If anyone is interested or knows of someone who is interested, please forward names to myself or Keith Pender ASAP. If anyone can give a night at any time over the summer to help us in any way it is quite valuable as it can give our regular crews a night off. If you only wish to do bases that as well will be of great benefit to us and can be worked into the schedule.

If anyone wishes to know what the reimbursement for your time is, our pay this year is at the following rates per game: Senior Men's $50.00 Plate & $30.00 Bases, Intermediate Men's $45.00 Plate & $30.00 Bases and Senior Ladies $30.00 Plate & $25.00 Bases.

We are sending this out early so that we can get a start on this before the season is upon us.

Any help would be of great value! Playing does not mean you cannot umpire!
