Softball Represented Amongst Finalists

The 69th Annual Awards Presentation will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at Mile One Centre. The winners of the St. John's Male and Female Athletes of the Year and Team of the Year for 2019 will be announced during the Newfoundland Growlers-Maine Mariners ECHL game - followed by an on-ice red carpet ceremony. Representatives from the Dunne and Davis families will be on hand to present the Tom “Dynamite” Dunne Male Athlete of the Year Award and the Margaret “Mag” Davis Female Athlete of the Year Award.

Softball's Galway Hitmen are amongst the Team of the Year Finalists

Galway Hitmen (Softball) are 1 of 3 finalists for the 2019 Coors Light Team of the Year. The Other Finalists: Atlantic Rock U19 (Rugby) and Newfoundland Black Horse (Ball Hockey).

The Galway Hitmen Represented Newfoundland Labrador At The 2019 Men’s & Master Men’s Canadian Fastpitch Championship From August 28 To September 01 In Grande Prairie, Alberta.

The Galway Hitmen Entered The Tournament As The Defending Champions And Finished The Tournament With Their National Crown Intact, The Provinces 7th Men’s Canadian Fastpitch Championship In The Last 8-Years, Three Under The 3 Cheers Pub Bud Light Banner (2012-2013-2014) and Four Under The Galway Hitmen Banner (2015-2016, 2018-2019).

The Galway Hitmen Dominated The Round Robin Portion Of The Event, As They Finished With A Perfect 6-0 Win-Loss Record, Outscored The Opposition 57-7 In The Process And Entered The Playoffs As The #1 Seed.
